Anatomy of a travelling girl’s lunch-box

The old meold me

Whilst I don’t travel as much as I used to for work, I still find myself making a regular overnight (or longer) trip away from home, mostly to deliver psychological health and well-being workshops to various organisations around Australia.

The old me would pack a suitcase full of clothes, shoes, and toiletries and just rely on room service, mini-bars and eating out for my food supply.

The current me has learned to minimise the clothes and shoes part, with the bulk of my luggage comprising of healthy eats. For example, here is what I packed for my breakfast for tomorrow:

Mixed seed and nut soak, with raspberries, coconut kefir and cinnamon.

My regular supplements: a dose of vitamin C, Tresos B formula, and St Mary’s Thistle (with my probiotics in the fridge).

My lunch for tomorrow: a salad made with organic vegetables: salad leaves, pumpkin, beetroot, parsnip, tomato, avocado and some tuna.

My drinks and snacks: lots of water, some herbal tea, a couple of my “power balls” (one with date and walnut, the other with cashew, lemon and coconut) and a protein paleo pumpkin muffin
